Professional Work Experience

Since 2015 TWT GmbH Science and Innovation, Stuttgart, Germany. I am head of Data Management, Portals & Processes.

2014 TWT GmbH Science and Innovation, Stuttgart, Germany. I was head of Enterprise Software & Information Systems.

Since 2011 TWT GmbH Science and Innovation, Stuttgart, Germany. As a software architect and project manager I contributed to and managed software projects in the automotive industry, applied research, and scientific transfer.

2010-2011 Department of Computer Science at the University of Pretoria, South Africa. As a post-doctoral research fellow I was in the position to do research on software and knowledge engineering topics.

2009-2010 Plath GmbH, Hamburg, Germany. As a Software Architect I conducted research in the areas of business intelligence, knowledge discovery in databases, semantic technologies, and domain specific languages for data interpretation applications in the intelligence domain.

2002-2009 Institute for Program Structures and Data Organization (IPD) at Universität Karlsruhe (TH), Germany. As a research assistant I conducted and contributed to graduate level teaching in the fields of software engineering and algorithmics.

2009 Electrical Engineering Department at Esslingen University of Applied Sciences. As an adjunct lecturer I delivered a data structures and programming course made up of 36 90-minute classes.

2004-2007 Institute for Program Structures and Data Organization (IPD) at Universität Karlsruhe (TH). As a research assistant I contributed to the integrated European CHIL research project.

2001-2002 Advanced Computer Architecture Group at the University of California, Irvine. As a visiting researcher I contributed to the MorphoSys research project.

1997-2000 Bad Wildungen, Berlin. To finance my studies, I contributed to several software development projects. The developed software has been throughout in commercial use.

2002-2009 Institute for Program Structures and Data Organization (IPD) at Universität Karlsruhe (TH), Germany. Under the guidance of Prof. Walter F. Tichy I was in the position to conduct research on software and knowledge engineering topics.

2002 Universität Karlsruhe (TH). Received a Diplom Informatiker academic degree with a final grade very good.

2001-2002 Advanced Computer Architecture Group at the University of California, Irvine. As a visiting researcher I designed and implemented branch predication for the MorphoSys computer architecture.

1999-2002 Universität Karlsruhe (TH). Studies in computer science (Hauptstudium) with a main focus on technical computer science and systems engineering.

Received a silver and a bronze medal for coaching teams KAmaeleon (Felix Brandt, Jonathan Dees and Christian Vetter) and Keine Ahnung (Orlin Kolev, Jochen Seidel and Simon Weinberger).

November 2004 Paris, France. ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest (Southwestern Europe Programming Contest). Received the thirteenth place team award for coaching team BiK (Martin Ivanchev Paraskevov, Ivan Popov, and Bilyana Taneva).

October 2004 Vancouver, BC, Canada. Object Oriented Programming Systems, Languages And Applications (OOPSLA 2004). Selected to be a Student Volunteer at OOPSLA 2004 on the Gold Plan.

November 2003 Paris, France. ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest (Southwestern Europe Programming Contest). Received the eighth place team award for coaching team BiK (Martin Ivanchev Paraskevov, Stefan Mirevski, and Slavyana Geninska).

July 2000 Karlsruhe, Germany. Received an outstanding student scholarship from the Industrielles Stipendienprogramm des FFI (Freundeskreis der Fakultät für Informatik) und der Fakultät für Informatik granted by IBM Global Services.

Collegiate Work Experience

2002-2008 Institute for Program Structures and Data Organization (IPD) at Universität Karlsruhe (TH). As a research assistant I initiated and conducted an ACM ICPC programming lab, conducted graduate level seminars on software and ontology engineering topics, and assisted in teaching a graduate software engineering course.

1999-2000 Universität Karlsruhe (TH). Worked as a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer at the University Support Center.

1998-1999 Technische Universität Clausthal. Worked as a teaching assistant for a Java practical programming course at the Technische Universität Clausthal.
